In this year's CES or Consumer Electronics Show, Panasonic uncovered its latest lineup of high-definition plasma and LCD televisions. If you're undecided which model from the manufacturer to get, read on. The following is a basic shopping guide, introducing the latest 42 inch HDTV from Panasonic.

The ST30 is a plasma television capable of playing back 3D movies. It boasts of a speedy 600Hz Sub-field Drive to help keep motion blurs and judders at bay. There are a total of 3 HDMI docks for easy creation of your ideal entertainment hub at home. Hardwiring it to the net is possible, even letting you make HD video calls via Skype.

Another plasma unit around is the S30. Although most of the features are similar to the ST30, it doesn't have 3D playback capability. The E3 comes with a 60Hz screen refresh rate and PC input so it may double as a computer monitor. It comes with 4 HDMI ports so you may hook up your favorite AV components to it. On the other hand, the U30 features a 120Hz screen refresh rate and is capable of supporting up to 3 HDMI inputs.

All these plasma and LCD coming from Panasonic come with display panels capable of showcasing 1920 x 1080 pixel resolutions. They all come with the VIERA Link innovation as well. This lets you operate everything that's hooked up to the television with just a single remote controller.
