Screen Protector Types : Which Type Is The Best? And Which One Is Right For ME?
by Jace Brown

So you just bought a cell phone and realized that its screen can get really scratched up. So what are you to do? It's pretty obvious you need a screen protector. This begs the question. Which screen protector should I get and which type is the best. There are many types in the market and in this article we are going to explore what the differences are and most importantly which one is best for you.
There are really 3 main types of protectors, that's it. There may be lots of different brands out there but almost all only offer one of these 3 types. The 3 types are: PET, Vinyl Static Cling, and Polyurethane. Each type has its positives and negatives, mainly working like any market where the least expensive is also of the lowest quality. I would like to now explain what each type is and the best brand offered in that type of protector.

One of the most versatile types is PET, which is very light and thin. These protectors generally scratch the easiest but feel the most like a real phone screen. They are reusable since you can wash them and put them back on your phone and also have the highest optical clarity. PET screen covers are generally in the middle of the price range and while not the cheapest often times are the best value. One of the best types on the market is the EZguardZ-HD PET screen protectors.
Value Vinyl Static Cling. really are one of the best values in screen protectors. They can be washed and reused and have great optical clarity after being installed for awhile. EZguardZ are the best brand of Vinyl protectors. They do however come off after they get oily so they only last 1-2 months.
Polyurethane is often the most expensive because it has the best adhesive and is made out of the highest quality of plastic. These types of screen protectors can last years and are super scratch resistant. They may even out last your phone. You do have to install them wet because the adhesive is so strong and otherwise the finish will not be very good. The brand we recommend most for Polyurethane type protectors is Xtreme Guard, they have shown to be the best value.
